BATCH (*.bat)- most simple and practical programming language, it is editable with wordpad too.Onto the automation of tasks being repeated often, e.g. for copying data, for setting the IP address. I have prepared a couple of practical sample scripts:
Robocopy - For fast and automated backup Robocopy is a 32-bit command-line tool used for file replication. Robocopy helps maintain identical copies of a directory structure on a single computer or in separate network locations / external hard disk drive / pendrive. It is similar to xcopy but more robust and has more features.

Command window and IPconfig with one click

Mapping network drive with one click. If you need to connect to network drive(s), you will enjoy this tool. It uses the NET USE command to associate a local drive letter with a shared network drive or device.
Download a sample script: net_use_MINTA.txt
If you no longer need the connections, it is a good idea to disconnect from it so that it does not drain system and network resources. You can do so with this script (net use * /delete): net_delete.txt
IP address configuration with one click. If you need to set a fix IP address and change it or change it to DHCP frequently, you will love this script: IP_set.txt
Notes: Tested on Windows XP - admin right is required. On Win7 you need to run it as administrator.
The "Local Area Connection" should be renamed to "LAN".
If you need to set proxy for the Internet Explorer too, you will need this script: IP_set_proxy.zip
Note: parameters in the script should be preset before you can use it. Just open the IP_set2.bat and IEproxy_set-Csak_egyszer_kell.vbs with notepad or wordpad and you will see what to do...
Delete temporary files with one click.Removing temporary files is a quick and easy task that can help save disk space and keep your PC fast.
